Andrew spent the first 9 years of his legal career working with the international law firm of Goodmans LLP in Toronto before he and his wife returned to the Ottawa area to raise their family. Upon his return to Ottawa, Andrew joined Kids Futures Inc., an innovative loyalty program designed to help consumers save for their children’s education, as its Director of Strategic Development. Andrew has been practicing law in Manotick since 2001, where his work focuses on business law and estate planning matters.
Andrew lives in Greely, a short distance from our offices in Manotick and is actively involved with various not for profit organizations. Each week he joins in with the ”Spirit of the Streets Choir”, a choir for street-involved youth in Ottawa. He plays what he admits to be “a rapidly deteriorating brand of hockey” in local hockey leagues and, he is also known to step on stage from time to time with a local singing group, the “Village Singers”, to assist at fund raising events in and around Manotick. Andrew also served for many years on the Board of Water Can (now WaterAid Canada), a Canadian charity which helps build sustainable water and sanitation projects in Africa. More recently, he has been volunteering as an on-ice instructor with the Capital City Condors, a family of ice hockey teams for children with developmental disabilities.
Andrew received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1990. That same year, he also received a Masters of Business Administration degree from York University, graduating first (Gold Medallist) in his class. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University. Andrew and his wife, Heather, have been married since 1990 and they have two adult children, Ria and Janet.
